This question is increasingly being posed by users of biochemistry because also lactose-free Schuessler cell salts in the form of drops or globuli are being offered. They appeal above all to people who are put off by milk sugar (lactose) or who do not tolerate it, e.g. in the case of lactose intolerance.
However, in my experience, lactose-free Schuessler cell salts do not have the same effect as traditional milk sugar tablets, which has also been confirmed to me on many occasions by other therapists. I cannot say with certainty what the reason for this is. I assume that it has to do with the different homeopathic production processes.
Tablets and powder have milk sugar (lactose) as their carrier material, which is triturated with the mineral substances. The production of a trituration up to D6 takes a total of six hours, if it is done by hand. This is a long, intensive processing operation in which the mineral substances are increasingly diminished in size and as a result are made available also for the smallest cells in the organism.
Globuli are sprayed with a liquid solution of the Schuessler cell salts. According to my information, the production of the liquid solution takes place up to D3 also as trituration as in the case of powder or tablets. As of D3, the latter are only shaken 50 times in a liquid solution. Such shaking, however, no longer results in a further mechanical grinding of the mineral substance, which then also has a different influence on the cell availability of the active ingredient.
Nevertheless, a person with real lactose intolerance need not forgo traditional Schuessler cell salts with milk sugar. You just dissolve them in water, put them in your mouth in sips and then spit them out again after 15 seconds. This brief time is perfectly sufficient for the mineral substances to have their effect via the mucous membranes.
